Operations and supply chain management the core 2nd edition

The Science Channel "How it is Made" is a better view into the manufacturing process. Concepts are presented comprehensively with current examples and scenarios. A decent textbook. No major issues and was satisfactory for an Operations course. It read easily, which for a textbook, is a major plus.

Several strategic models are quite useful and the text is supported throughout with exercises. An excellent, MBA level book on supply chain and operations.

The book covers a lot of ground on operations management, particularly relevant for factory managers. A prerequisite for taking full advantage of this book is knowledge on statistics concepts, or more specifically, statistics for business. The writing was very succinct and very informative.
