Iso'rath is said to have been raised up from the depths of the earth by the Twilight's Hammer cult, but has not fully emerged from the earth - it is alluded to that Iso'rath may not yet be at full strength.
Adventurers are tasked by the Earthen Ring to destroy several of Iso'rath's tentacles, which then allows the Earthen Ring and adventurers to to enter Iso'rath's body and help to slay its brain in an attempt to kill Iso'rath.
Iso'rath is shown to have the ability to induce visions and nightmares, [3] although it is not known if Iso'rath is sentient or possesses any intelligence. Iso'rath's body does defend itself by attempting to kill off and digest the Earthen Ring members and adventurers who enter it, [4] although this might be purely instinctive. Wowpedia Explore. Comment by "First, we need to destroy it's tentacles. At least if you are Alliance and skipped the bread crumb quest The Maw of Madness which is not available to you unless you do an unknown number of pre-quests and instead started the series directly at Torn Ground which doesn't require pre-quests.
Comment by Does anyone think it is kind of odd that Earthcaller Torunscar begins to speak perfect English when he gives this quest? Before he gives the quest he has a heavy troll accent. Comment by Grimholtt Just for the record I made this mistake and I "landed" very briefly on one of the spiky teeth sticking out from the side and promptly slid off the side of it falling to my death inside.
As a rogue, I had no nifty slow fall type ability to save me. Once you start to fall, just back away from the keyboard till you land. Comment by Hieuro It's a good quest to get the Going Down achievement. I just got this while doing this. Comment by Don't know if this happened to anyone else but when I got knocked off my griffon I "stood" in the air for a moment then fell to my death twice.
The second time I didnt touch anything and I "stood" in the air for a moment then began to slowly fall into one of the tentacles and my death again. After resurecting I decided to fly down into the maw and was able to turn in the quest with no problems. Dont know how many others have had this problem, but if it happens to you, just fly your mount into the maw ans you can turn in the quest.
Comment by Aluminum Broken in latest patch, kills you before you get to the bottom. Comment by Takata Yes its bugged. Bugged quests are annoying, but especially when you die. I died my first flight in. So instead of trying it again I flew in on my own and made it without dying. Register Don't have an account? Quest:The Maw of Iso'rath. Edit this page. History Talk 0.
